Right as I sat down to write this, exhaustion decided to set in. It has been a long, emotionally full day. I had my Luci interview today down in Chicago. The day started off bad because the alarm on my crappy Pixel phone decided not to go off. Again. It always decides it wants to do this on the most important day. Last time, it was when Manfred was picking me and Emily up for the airport. The timing literally could not be worse. And the damn thing even says "Upcoming alarm 7:15am" AFTER the fact, then will suddenly say "Missed alarm." Stupid piece of... Anyway. The interview went really well. I'd say really well (Brandy was like my personal cheerleader and the Executive Creative Director loved me), except for the end kind of messed that up. I asked them to let me know if I was not their candidate of choice and that I couldn't move my start date for my other job, but I could push back my move date; and they all went completely silent. It became really awkw...
