David's Tea: Glitter & Gold

I kind of like talking about the different tea I drink. I'm almost done with the Glitter & Gold packet Reimer got me from David's Tea. Briony from work and I visited David's Tea down in Chicago last summer on the way to the WLA conference and both fell in love with their teas. I remember seeing this one, but since it was a black I didn't get it. I don't normally like most black teas, but this one I'm particularly fond of. According to the package, it has black tea (obvs), lemon peel, and cloves. It also has little gold sugar stars, which look super cool, so I'm sad that you can't actually see them, since they're always wrapped in something. It smells great and tastes really good, provided you don't make it too weak (like I just did when I added more water to it). Apparently, I must be pretty immune to tea caffeine, since it does absolutely nothing for me; but my coworker Briony is buzzing after half a cup. I also got a "Queen of ...

Trunk or Treat - Success

We had our Trunk or Treat event at the Franklin Public Library today and brought in over 2,000 people. It's the biggest event I've ever organized but for some reason that fact is not sinking in. It was even bigger than the city's National Night Out. I think it's because - and I realized this today - I've finally created enough hugely successful events that it's become second nature to me and they don't even make me blink anymore. My stress level never gets high and it doesn't even occur to me that what I'm doing is actually pretty cool. Which is why I've decided I have to write this achievement down, because it is pretty cool and kind of a big deal. My coworker told me I should be really proud of what I did today and while I was grateful for the compliment, it honestly doesn't even feel like I did anything out of the ordinary. It reminds me of Charlotte telling me a month or two back that she sees me as a person who is always doing super ...

London Fog

I forgot how much I love London Fogs. I grabbed one from Starbucks in Target on my way to work today and it brought back such wonderful feelings. For some reason I always associate it with summer even though it's more of a winter drink. In other news, this is the first post I've made on the new blog. I haven't written anything because I don't like the idea of having to move to a new platform at the expense of losing everything on my old one. But frankly, the risk of staying with LiveJournal is just too high, and using Dreamweaver, or whatever its sister site is called, doesn't seem much better. I would mind switching if there was just a way to transfer all my information. I have too many important memories on there that I don't want to lose.
